Here's my scenario: Domain-A is primary, Domain-B is a child domain. WS is my workstation running a password reset application. I need to create an account on the Domain-A that will allow the WS application, to change or reset passwords on botht he Domain-A box and Domain-B. Essentially, this application uses LDAP and the Global Catalog to search for Users on both the primary and child domains and reset or change passwords as required. However, I haven't figured out how to create an account with proper access to both domains. Help!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Since you alrady have a child domain, you now also have an “Enterprise Admins” group in the parent domain. You also have an “Enterprise Administrator” Create a new account and make it a member of the Enterprise Admins group. That should do it.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for your reply(s). I figured otu the best way to do this was to create a User in the OU and Delegate control to this user. Have a great weekend! P

Rather than Enterprise Administrator rights assignment I would suggest assigning Account Administrator Rights to the user. Moreover in User Administration or in IT Administration there is always an Optimum Method....depending on the requirement...
