very often CRM (CustomerRelationManagement) is an frontend of ERP and or SCM (SupplyChainMangement) is the System in between for Processing Customer requests.

CRM is ABAP & JAVA, SCM can be JAVA or ABAP & JAVA,
both have an Database like: Oracle, MaxDB or UDB and an Operating System like Windows UNIX or Linux
