What did it mean by newly released OS. What flavor or vendor is there like Microsoft (windows) Apple (Mac) or what linux or any open source. There are several causes to make slow down the computers. Without knowing all not possible to provide good replies.

A lot more info is needed. What OS? was it just an upgrade to an existing OS? What is the hardware configuration, like memory and drive space? Does it meet the minimum requirements? Is this a 32-bit or 64-bit OS? If this computer is on a network, what type and configuration? It could be bottle-necking in a number of places.

In general 32 bit software can be supported on 64 bit OS while 64 bit is not supported on 32 bit OS.
