Also, the installation files could be corrupt.
If you downloaded the software, try downloading it again if you have already checked what Jcmdba mentioned.

Ya, now i came across that problem, i tried it with a different set of cd-roms, and i am successful now! also i am a big fan of Linux, i can surprise my friends with an Oracle installed in my fedora 7, so kindly suggest a version of Oracle, that best suits Fedora 7 or Fedora 10. I ll be very thankful to you…
