I get this error when launching the client on ubuntu 11.10 64 bit: libgconf-2.so.4: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64. I've had no problem with ubuntu 11.04 64 bit. What can be done to allow the 8.5.3 client to execute on ubuntu 64 bit?

Software/Hardware used:
ubuntu 11.10, notes client 8.5.3 debian install

Have u modified the Control file after extracting .deb file.... make sure the below lines r should be empty: pre-depends; depends; recommends; and conflicts: after that u may try to see if this happens again !

Yes, I've modified the control file to have those empty.

I don't know if this solution will work for others, but I installed Synaptic, ran fix broken packages. After it completed, I launched the Notes client and it started, ran without a problem.
