OK, here is my problem, I'm working on a project in the Test phase right now. I have 3 routers (Cisco 2811s), all running EIGRP, these are seperating 3 goegraphical regions. Each of these Routers is linked via Trunking line to a Switch which has 4 VLANs enable. According to everything I have found in manuals and through web searching, the setups are correct, but I can't get any PC inside of any VLAN to ping out of the exit interface(s) of their respctive Router. Trunking is enabled on the switch, switchports are enabled on the proper interfaces, but I get no connectivity across the entire network between VLANs. In the Routing protocol, EIGRP, I've configured individual network statements based on individual VLAN subnets, and got nothing, I've done an all encompassing network statement for the whole network (ambiguos network liek 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0), but get nothing. Here's the real kicker though, once I enabled my ACL for the IT VLAN to be able to communicate with everything in a given LAN, I loose EIGRP communication. Come to think of it, I may just need to switch where the ACL is located by interface for this one, but any assistance or ideas why would be greatly appreciated. I will add the sho run for one of the routers and switches, all three should be roughly identicle except for subnet addresses. Thanks, Cragsdale

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Self Answer:

Get your subnets right from the start and you won’t have the initial problem of nothing communicating.
