2IPS's, 2 routers (1 router per each ISP, diferent LAN-subnet on each router) connected to 8 workstations (through 2 L1-switches) - will this work? (it does actually work but with disruptions)? 2 ISPs are required in case one IPS's connection is down. Thequestion is will the other ISP's connection kick in automatically if I just add extra IP, Gateway, DNS on each workstation for them to be connected to both router's LANs (like i said it actually does work but with disruptions?
the topology is:
--> 8portswitch -> 16portswitch -> workstations
the workstations have only one ethernet adapter each. if this is not possible, will it work if the 2nd ISP's connection is brought in through a second ethernet adapter on workstations and there is no physical link between the 2 routers: each workstation - member of 2 LANs
WinXP, 2 D-Link DIR100 routers, 8-port L1 switch, 16port L1 switch
