Q:
MCSA Exam 70-291 Questions
I am about to retake the 70-291 exam for Microsoft. And I had a question that I thought you guys may be able to answer.

Do the questions rotate or do they generally stat the same. I was pretty close on the last take. It was the first one I did not pass on the first try and was pretty bummed.

I was doing some searching and it seemed that the latest update seemed to have 48 questions with most of the same type questions.

????

There are about 300 questions in the pool. You'll get some where between 40 and 50 questions depending on the questions which were picked. Some of the questions are similar, just worded differently to see if you really understand the concepts of it you've just memorized the questions and answers.

mrdenny is correct. You are not likely to get the same questions in subsequent tests. When I took the Exchange test, the only one I had to take more than once, the tests were quite different from each other. One had far more DNS questions on it, the next had very few and a lot more of other types of questions. So your experience could be quite different from test to test.

I don’t know about this test specifically but I do know that all the certification exams I’ve taken do rotate questions.

I just retook it again. And failed it again. 687
I don’t even believe it. I studied for probably 15 hours for the stupid thing.
From IP Addressing Schemes, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, RRAS and all the tools to trouble shoot.
I think the test prep system I am using hasn’t been updated maybe.
But, that shouldn’t matter. I mean I have Extensive knowledge of each.
Also, there was a question or two on this test in particular that was wacky.
For Instance- Ther was a question whre they had the loopback: 127.0.0.1 as the DNS server address for one of the servers on one of the questions.
I had seen the question before-or something similar. But, everything in my gut was telling me that you can’t have the loopback address for the DNS server address-and- It didn’t match the DNS adress of the other server it was talking to. ( DNS2 to DNS1)
But, the answer to that particular question is to change the default gateway to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.

I guess its back to the beginning. I am taking it each topic at a time. One by one. Because I am not failing this thing again. I know this crap in and out. And its driving me nuts.
