I am waiting for our FIOS connectivity and am presently using EMBARK DSL in its place. As an interim measure I want to add a second DSL to get more throughput. 1. Can this be done 2. Should both DSL modems ahve the same static ip from the provider Any help would be greatly appreciated Thx - Joe

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I configure these all the time with routers on ATM circuits.
But on a dsl line for example (2) 3 meg lines, you will never get one pc to download at 6 megs. This is because it would have to be aggregated in the EMBARQ redback router which is something they will not do. However, what you CAN do is load balance half of your users to use out one line and half out the other.

This would allow two users to download files at the same time at 3 meg each.

I'm adding to discussion because someone may have a better answer. In a situation like this typically I have used a router sitting on the outside of the ASA to load balance across the 2 connections. I am not aware of the ASA being able to do this but I am honestly not an ASA guru and they are releasing updates for the ASA code like crazy so someone may be aware of something I am not.
