I think you're right on on curse #1.  
For #2 I think it's more like your productivity may be impacted with the implementation of security once they realize what you're doing and how it could go wrong.
For #3, I think the best example of this is the numerous system implementations and migrations IT people do that eventually puts them out of a job - I know many people who've put themselves out of a job as they performed it at meta-level too well.
