Yes, it is scary indeed, isn’t it? That’s why I felt absolutely compelled to blog about it. But once we voice our fears, what else can we do? I’ve heard it said many times over the 27 years I’ve worked in and around high-tech that ultimately we all work for ourselves, and we must all look out for ourselves as well. But just because we’re not paranoid, does that mean they’re NOT out to get us? I don’t think so…

The job market is tough enough without worrying about whether someone “better” than you is going to come knocking on the door.

It’s a shame that company AND employee loyalty isn’t what it used to be.

I got chills this morning listening to that story and it strengthened my resolve to stay with my current employer. I don’t want to willingly go swim in a bloody sea of sharks.
