Thank you for this post. I was wondering if getting TOGAF certified really does help aspiring Architects.

My work experiences range from Support to QA to Development. My long term plans is to get into Enterprise Architecture I would love to get into a Application / Solutions Architecture job next. I know TOGAF concentrates on EA but I started reading and preparing for the T9 exam thinking long term. I wonder if my short-term goals would fare better if I concentrate on some other certifications?

Any feedback would be truly appreciated.
