Dear Suzmonster:

I'd never heard of nor seen such a beast before your posting, but having now taken a cursory look I see no reason not to use such technology to help put a best foot forward. Certainly, it shows interesting hustle and initiative in putting a video CV together (that's an abbreviation for "Curriculum Vitae" or more simply "vita" for those not already in the know, which is Latin for "a running life" or perhaps better "a running history of (my) life". The actual definition is a "written description of your work experience, educational background, and skill" [About.com]). Well executed, I can't help but think it would also help you put a nice and effective technology foot forward, so to speak.

I say " Do it!"

Thanks,

Thanks for the great resources, Ed!

How do you feel about the visual CV concept for IT pros? The capstone for my CMBA requires one and I'm currently using [A href="http://www.visualcv.com/"]visualcv.com[/A] because it's free. There is a portfolio element that gives the freedom to present successful projects and accomplishments in detail. I've always associated portfolios with my graphic design friends, not computer geeks like me.
