Wireless Spectrum Analysis

Hi folks! Sometimes even using free tools to help you troubleshoot your wireless just won’t work. Why is this?

Well sometime the interference you are experiencing can’t be detected by your wireless network card. Instead you need to use something called a spectrum analyzer to detect all signals in the wireless ranges, not just other wireless access points.

This is where the product Wi-Spy comes in. They are the same people that make the Inssider product, but this product you have to pay for. Having said that, it is fairly cheap compared to other similar products in the market.

By using this, you can detect things like Microwave ovens, baby monitors, cordless phones etc. that are interfering with your wireless installation. A handy tool for any wireless guru!
