Hi folks! So I would say most people by now have at least virtualized some part of their network. The question is, have you taken it beyond that?
Once you’ve virtualized you’ve opened up a whole new world of possibilities for yourself. With virtualization, you enable ease of use, consolidation, and have started down the path to disaster recovery.
With virtual servers, disaster recovery is easy to implement since the virtual servers don’t care about hardware. So instead of just running basic vSphere, why not look at VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)? SRM is great in that it allows easy failover and failback. SRM will even go so far as to help you re-IP in your target environment.
