Hi folks! So now with Windows Phone 7 out, the whole mobile community is abuzz. Will Windows Phone 7 be the next Android/iPhone killer?

Well in order for that to happen, they will definitely need to build the software support base that both Android and iPhone have. Currently both Android and iPhone are ruling the market with the tons of apps available out there.

However rumor has it that Windows Phone 7 doesn’t have the same level of support from the user community as of yet. This doesn’t mean it won’t happen, it just means it might take some time to gain ground. After all the phone was just recently released. I think Microsoft has done a great thing with Windows Phone 7 and if it can gain community support it will make for yet another great choice for consumers.

Here’s hoping for some great competition in the 2011 year!

Hi folks! Here’s something I have oftened wondered about people in the IT field. Why are you still using a non smart phone?

All over the place I see network techs using normal cell phones with out any “smart” functionality. It would seem with the plethora of options available today that it would make sense to buy one. Especially seeing how smart phones make a network admins life so much easier in their day to day jobs.

I suppose one reason is they don’t want their employers to have a reason to get a hold of them via email all the time. But other than that, the smart phone is one of those things that can free you from the desktop/notebook. With a smart phone you can do so many things. For those of you that don’t have one yet, I urge you to give it a try! iPhone, Windows Phone 7, Android, BlackBerry – pick your poison and get with the times!

Hi folks, I want to wish everyone a happy new year! It should be great to see what the year of 2011 will bring to us in the world of technology.

With CES just around the corner we should have a lot of new announcements to get excited about. Hopefully we’ll see some serious further advancements in smart phone and tablet technology this year.

I predict this year will be a make or break year for RIM. With Windows Phone 7 out and Android, and iPhone, RIM will really have to work hard to retain market share. But only time will will tell!
