Hi folks, so in the last post I spoke about taking the proper certifications to stay relevant. After all you don’t want to be taking certs that are worthless to employers.

In this one I wanted to talk about the speed of change in IT as it relates to certifications. You see IT is constantly changing and you want to make sure you are taking certs that are not out of date the moment you take them.

You can do this by focusing on companies that stay with the times instead of doing certs with organizations that let their material go out of date.

There are many companies that stay up to date and with the times, and one of those companies is Microsoft. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer I can definitely vouch for their education programs with first hand information. Microsoft does an amazing job keeping their curriculum up to date, especially considering how many products they actually have.

If you’re going to get certified, taking the Microsoft path will definitely help you keep up with the speed of change.
