Hi folks! So even Cisco has followed suit with the likes of other companies and has thrown in the towel with their Cius tablet.

Even though the Cius was Android based, it was not nearly as nice as some of the offerings that are out there now, and if Cisco wanted to compete it would have had to have gotten much more aggressive with their hardware release schedule for the Cius with new improvements.

I think in the end Cisco made the right decision and should stick to networking which it knows best.

Why would anyone release the ICS update if they can just stall until the Samsung Galaxy S III comes out and force people to upgrade?

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is what Telus is trying to do. You can read more here.

Hi folks, so as you may have heard , today was the last day to upgrade BES to the latest version and be eligible for the free PlayBook.

I’m not sure how many people took advantage of this offer but I’d love to see the numbers. RIM’s recent quarterly results indicate that things haven’t been going well, and i hope they have more good deals like this in the next quarter to help spur on new business.

The biggest thing will be attracting young mobile phone buyers who are flocking to the iPhone and Android platforms. RIM has to find a way to become relevant again. Here’s hoping they figure this out, as I want to see this company stick around to provide competition to Apple and Android.

That’s right folks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is here now. This 1 GHZ dual-core beauty comes with a 7 inch display and comes preloaded with Ice Cream Sandwich on it.

Here’s hoping they release ICS for us existing tablet owners soon. The new Galaxy Tab 2 does indeed come with TouchWiz as well. If you recall earlier, Samsung was having problems integrating their TouchWiz interface and Ice Cream Sandwich. It looks like they’ve got that worked out now.

No pricing and availability as of yet so stay tuned. You can check the specs out here.

Hi folks! So for those of you that haven’t made a run for the border away from RIM yet, and actually bought a PlayBook, we have good news for you.

There is a keyboard coming out for the PlayBook! Tablets are great and everything with their touch screen keyboards, but sometimes you need to be able to type faster than a touch screen will allow.

Tablet external keyboards are great for these times when you need to blast out a quick document without the slow hindrance of a touch screen.

HI folks! So if you’re like me, you hate the built-in mail app for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. I tried using the app but just can’t stand it.

I find that the app lacks a ton of features and is just too kludgy to use. I started speaking with different people using the same tablet as me and I found that a few people were using an app called TouchDown made by NitroDesk.

So I gave it a download from the Android Market (free trial) and I have been testing it out. Needless to say, I love it! It’s got everything I wanted in an email app and the user interface for it just feels more efficient than the default app that came with my Galaxy Tab.

If you’re having the same problems as me, I suggest you give it a try.
