Spam on the decline

Hi folks! So here is a problem all email users have – SPAM!
Well apparently spam is on the decline, and the world is better off for it. However people are wondering why this is. Apparently our spam detection mechanisms are way better than they were years ago. This makes logical sense as we have lots of data to work with to build proper detection engines.
The question is, are the spammers giving up to? If they see this as a less lucrative scheme, they might stop spamming in droves to go to some easier scheme. Also user education is much farther along than it was years ago and that must be helping too. Most users know how to recognize spam and not fall for some of the schemes that are perpetrated out there.
So way to go users, keep on anti-spamming!
