Hi folks! I wanted to share a bad experience I had with a printer and Windows 7!
You see I have this printer that prints, scans, copies, and faxes. It’s a great printer and has always done what i need. Then Windows 7 came out, and I resisted upgrading as Vista was working fine on this machine.
Eventually I needed to do a re-install for other reasons and I upgraded to Windows 7. Everything on the machine works great and the system actually seems much faster. However the printer will only print in Windows 7 and the scanning functionality no longer works.
After some quick investigation I found that there is only a printer driver for the printer compatible with Windows 7 but for the scanner it will not work.
Now what is the point of that? I basically have to buy a new printer now because there is no scanner driver support. Talk about useless! This kind of thing really ticks me off. I think if you’re gonna provide driver support, don’t do it halfway!
