Hi folks! So Steve Ballmer has released a memorandum and now he’s also announced his retiring. What does this mean to us? Should we care?
I think so. Whether you love them or hate them, Microsoft has always been an integral part of the IT world. What happens at Microsoft does have an affect on the IT world, whether you like it or not. Based on the new memorandum it should be interesting to see what comes of this.
What’s more interesting is Ballmer’s retiring. I really wasn’t expecting this, especially after the memorandum. But if you read his retirement letter, what he says makes sense. We will need a CEO to see Microsoft through this transition. The question is, who is up to the task?
