Mail Archiving, why aren’t you doing it?

Raj Perumal Raj Perumal Profile: Raj Perumal

Hi folks! Do you mail archive? You should be!

Why should you be doing this might you ask? Because when you send or receive a mail, if someone deletes it before backups run, you can lose that information (depending on what mail server software you use).

Mail archiving does a great job of intercepting mail as it flows and keeping an archival copy of it. There are many products out there you can use but one of my favorites in the small business world is GFI Mail Archiver.

Easy to install and configure and a decent price too. You can read more about it here.
