HP, iLO, servers
Hi folks! So have you ever been remotely managing a server when all of a sudden you lose connection and you can’t get access to the server again? I’m pretty sure every tech has!
Enter HP’s iLO. This is old technology from HP that has been around for quite some time. It stands for integrated lights out and allows a tech to remotely manage a computer right down to powering it up and powering it off. This way if something happens, you can remotely connect to the server and still reboot it!
iLO also allows techs to do things such as mount iso images remotely as well. Just imagine the possibilities with this kind of power. In order to do some of the great features with iLO I would recommend purchasing the iLO advanced pack.
