Cisco ASA, DHCP, ISP, WAN
Hi folks, so some people have reported having issues with the Cisco ASA firewall and acquiring an IP on the wan port from the ISP when set to DHCP mode instead of static.
This is an issue that usually has nothing to do with the ASA, bu t with the ISP modem itself. Make sure you reboot the modem, and you should get an IP with no issues. This is of course assuming you have your dhcp settings set right on the WAN interface.
You can set the setting using the command “ip address dhcp setroute”.
