Raj Perumal Raj Perumal Profile: Raj Perumal

Hi folks! So you have a small business and you find that your home based wireless router you bought from Best Buy just doesn’t cut it? It might be time to upgrade.

Money can be tight in a small business environment, you have to spend your IT dollars wisely. However wireless isn’t going away anytime soon. More and more, people are beginning to rely on their WiFi network for daily tasks. With the plethora of iPhones, iPads, Android tablets and smartphones out there you are going to eventually need to provide stable WiFi access to your staff.

At this point you might want to look into an enterprise wireless solution at a cheap price point. Many wireless vendors offer lower end solutions that can fit a small business’ IT budget.

If you have a chance, check out Meru Networks and their MC1500 controller along with their 1000 series access points. If you’re already virtualized, check out Meru’s virtual controllers that can run as a virtual machine instead, you’ll save money and take advantage of your VMware environment! Once your WiFi network is deployed, your employees will thank you for it!
