A better practice than splitting the backup into several weekdays is to do the part which is beyond the tape capacity internally with the BACKUP Command. So all data is saved at the same time which is certainly an advantage for a reload. Allyou have to do every morning is store the backup tape away and copy the internal backup library manually onto as many tapes as required.
Of course you need enough disk space for the nightly internal backup.]]></description>
