		<description><![CDATA[Yes - WDSC 7.0 is a step backwards on CODE Designer and EGL. Yes customers are not notified of changes in product strategy more than a year in advance because it&#039;s too unpredictable at IBM. Yes, the replacement LPEX editor lacks alot of the functionality CODE Designer had.

The larger issue is who SHOULD own the AS/400/iseries/system i platform? IBM Toronto, IBM Rochester or you? My guess is the platform would be more successful IF it were open-sourced and managed actively by the customer base rather than IBM. The Apache model supports that type of argument - let IBM provide resources but the product management decisions are managed by a committe elected by the users .... perhaps via COMMON]]></description>
