We started programming w/java on our iSeries a few years back.  We also run linux on a separate partition running our internet java applications. 

And We are an old AS400, iSeries shop with mostly RPG programs and programmers.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Your right and I blogged about this as well. I am attending www.aims.edu and getting a CIS degree. They don&#039;t even know what the iSeries of System i5 is right now. There are a few who remeber the AS/400.

I just finished DarkBASIC and the next 3 classes in programming are C++ and Java. I also have a Database Class that will be using the Oracle 9i DB. Would it not be sweet if I could do Java and C on the i5 and connect it all to MySQL or even better DB2? Wow that would be awesome!

But I will not. They all run on Windows. Yuk! I am going to be doing my C++ and Java on Linux when the time comes and maybe even a little MacOSX.....hahahahah (evil laugh)]]></description>
