New is great but the AS/400 is more of a data cruncher. They just need to update the box and lose Unix. Why? Because I can create a RPG program in 2 weeks before some can write the same program in Unix, C++, or Cobol. I should know, I wrote the programs for them. As long as they didn’t over work the plumbing, its an easy fix.

If time is money, then building these programs should be quick and easy, and ready for production in less then a month. Also depending what your trying to do.
