Start->Run->CMD

SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1

START DEVMGMT.MSC

Click View/Show Hidden devices

and uninstall the ‘ghost’ entries.

 - removing and readding VM NIC – re-ip new NIC
