Veeam File Level Restore

Nathan Simon Nathan Simon Profile: Nathan Simon

What is it? It allows you to restore guest OS files from multiple operating systems, for instance Linux. How do you enable it? download and install VMware Player, after that “Veeam File Level Restore” takes over. There is a couple settings that you can set in Preferences that will save you some troubleshooting steps. The default setting when shutting VMware Player down is that it will suspend the machine, this may cause issues with Linux OS’. Click on File, then Player Preferences and check “Confirm before closing a virtual machine” and “Power off the virtual machine”. With these settings you won’t  have any issues when closing the file browser of Veeam’s File level restore.
