The Majorana Particle

Apparently this little guy while not directly related to technology, but will be in the near future…

While at first glance this isn’t interesting to computer enthusiasts, it is seen as an essential part of a quantum computer, a new kind of computing which would result in super fast computers. While a quantum computer is still decades away, the finding of the Majorna particle is a key element in the further development of this kind of computer.

Its quite amazing what technology can do these days… what is even more amazing is that this was “predicted” as existing in the thirtys!
