We saw it coming, it was inevitable, with the purchase of Instagram by Facebook, you knew they needed something, and they got it, bigger pictures, the technology behind the photo craze…

Specifically, Facebook says photos in the news feed will now be enlarged to up to 2x their previous size, and displayed in a new layout that can bring more photos from an album into the feed. Text in news feed posts is also going to be larger and wider spaced.

At the time of the mobile redesign, we said Facebook was taking a cue from Instagram, and that the change could make browsing the mobile news feed a less tiring experience. Looks like Facebook wanted to improve the Web experience in the same way, making the news feed more of an enjoyable photo viewer on its own, rather than something that just points you to a photo album elsewhere on the site. source techcrunch.com

“ASUS is coming in hot for 2012. We can only hope a US release will soon follow these Italian dates.
Update May 7th

There really hasn’t been many updates as of late… but if you head on over to the Asus Transformer Pad Facebook page, another video has been posted showing off lots of cool Transformer Pad features… yeah hype it up a little more why dont you Asus lol

Check it out here.

Update April 18th – Amazon.com TF Pad 300 Pre-order – Shipping April 22nd

What does this mean? That the TF Pad Infinity will most definitely be shipped the week of June 15th, finally a date to count down to! If you haven’t joined the Facebook fan page, go there now and start discussing what you will do with your new Asus Transformer Pad Infinity! Also head on over to this site for more information if this is the first time you have visited my post.

Update April 16th – pre-orders for the TF300T are official for US

I know this isn’t for the TF700 Pad Infinity, but this news does mean that the release of the Transformer Pad Infinity is nearing reality… go hereto pre-order or just read about the release of the Transformer Pad 300.

Update April 11th – Updated Post name and TF Pad 300 spotted for pre-order!

Did I speak too soon? Apparently the Transformer Pad 300 is listed on a french online store… go hereto check it out… does this mean that Asus might just spring the TF700 on us like they did with the TF300? J and R a US retailer was also supposed to have the TF Pad 300 online, but I couldn’t find it… want the rest, fo here.

Update April 10th

If you are looking to see how the LTE Asus Transformer Pad Infinity performs then take a quick look at the updated HTC One X post… the video runs through the AT&T version of the phone which has the dual-core snapdragon processor running at 1.5Ghz. It will give you a sense of how the LTE version of the Transformer Pad Infinity will perform… check out the HTC One X post here.

Note that there are alot more updates to this post as stated below…

Update March 29th

Asus to add new features to the Asus Transformer Prime with a firmware update, these features are sure to be included in the new Transformer Pad Infinty! You know the drill head on over to GizmoCanada for the rest!

Update March 26th

Things are definitely quite as to when the Transformer Pad Infinity will be released. I am hearing in the forums, on Facebook, and everywhere that if Asus doesn’t hurry up people will move on to the “New iPad” What are you looking to do?…. continue here to read more.

Update March 20th

New Benchmark results show that the Tegra 3 Processor is far superior to the New iPad, well kinda But if you have seen the video on the post below, then you know that the Tegra 3 graphics processing is much better. Also note that the aspect ratio is much better on the Prime Infinity than the New iPad. Scroll down to get the link.

Update March 19th

Want to see how the Transformer Prime Tegra 3 chip is better than the New iPad in gaming? Video can be seen at the link below.

Update #2 March 15th 2012

Looks like I got some first hand information… Asus has launched the Transformer Prime Infinity Webpage, guess that means they are nearing launch! Go to the link below to check it out.

Update March 15th 2012

Video Hands on of the Transformer Prime! See link below to watch the video.

Original Post

The True iPad killer might be heading our way, sure it wont have the crazy resolution, but it will be pretty close… 1920×1200 is nothing to scoff at…

You can choose from 16, 32, or 64GB versions all with the option of 3G, but if you go 3G you will have the S4 processor which is only dual core running at 1.5Ghz, I would suggest not going with the 3G model, besides, if you buy one of these, there is a good chance that you will either use a WiFi hotspot, or use your own phone as a WiFi hotspot… no need for slow 3G speeds!

PlayBook OS 2 is soon to be released. Want the scoop on what’s new for the PlayBook and how it interacts with social apps?

When we took our first official tour of the native messaging on BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2 a month ago at CES 2012, one of the services that was missing from the social messaging integration was Facebook. We *knew* Facebook would soon be joining Twitter and LinkedIn, but it’s good to see Facebook is now there too for when the highly-anticipated PlayBook software update drops later this month. You can hit up the video above to get a quick look of the Facebook addition within the Manage Accounts option screen and integrated into the native messaging client itself.

It’s finally happened — the Facebook IPO is a real thing. No more speculation, no more guess-work. Facebook filed its S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission this afternoon indicating its intention to go public with an eye toward raising $5 billion from sales of stock based on a $100 billion valuation.
