Now here is something that i might actually get and use… aside from a BlackBerry Playbook

Samsung’s foray into the tablet market will definitely be a profitable one, based on the specs below and what I’ve read about it, I cannot wait to get my paws on it. Here are the specs.

Android 2.2 running TouchWiz 3.0

7-inch TFT LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution (WSVGA)

Weighs 380 grams

1GHz Cortex A8 processor

16GB or 32GB internal storage

microSD expansion for up to 32GB additional storage

Front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera and rear 3 megapixel camera with flash

4,000mAh battery

3G data / voice (there’s a speakerphone and Bluetooth for phone calls, but no earpiece)

5GHz dual-band 802.11n WiFi

Standard back color is white, carriers might offer different colors

Full HD video playback

There’s a 30-pin dock connector on the bottom that allows for HDMI, USB, and docking accessories (a car dock at least is planned)

We will have to wait and see what the Android developers come up with, if they can push out some great apps for the Android, it just might steer some people away from the iPad or PlayBook.

Acer will be able to make a tablet in a variety of operating systems like Windows, Chrome, and Android. These Tablets will also have much more expandability, like usb,SD card slots, and HDMI out, the list goes on. We all know that a quick PC tablet will take the market by storm, we all love Windows 7, and if we can get it in the size of a iPad with more options, then I am sold!

Well, I didn’t see this coming, didn’t see any rumours at all… funny because I am a big Xbox fan, ah well, I’ve have been very busy with a new client, anyways… check out some of the new specs below.

Touch Sensitive Buttons -turn the Xbox 360 on or off and eject a disc with the swipe of a Finger
Whisper Quiet – Whether you’re playing a DVD disc or from the hard drive or navigating the dashboard, with the all-new and much quieter Xbox 360, the only noise you’ll hear is your own laughing, cheering and playing
Wi-Fi -Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi for fast, easy connection to your friends and entertainment on Xbox LIVE.
Hard Drive - 250GB internal, swappable hard drive for even more storage. To access, remove the bottom panel by pushing the small tab toward the front of the console.
Kinect-ready -Custom Kinect port on the back of the console that directly hooks up to the Kinect sensor for controller-free fun.
USB Slots - Five USB ports, three in the back and two in the front.
Power Supply -Smaller and more efficient. Xbox 360 250GB and Xbox 360 Original power supplies are not interchangeable.
Wireless Controller -The award-winning Xbox 360 Wireless Controller matches the console in all black with color-matched thumbsticks and directional pad with a touch of gloss and chrome to complete the look.
Backward Compatible -Your favorite accessories and games will work with Xbox 360 250GB. Xbox 360 external hard drives and Memory Units are not compatible.

Although all accessories and games will work with the new Xbox, the existing HDD will not… so how will i get all my stuff over to the new Xbox after I buy it? Good question and I do not know the answer at this moment. Check out this site for some pics.

Well we knew it was coming, a Goolge Tablet running the Android OS. This might be something i would want to get my hands on, considering the Android device will be much more customizable than the iPad. As below, working with the Android Tablet in the cloud is much easier, which would make life easier, never bound to a usb cable and iTunes.

A Google tablet could be the only tablet capable of actually challenging the iPad, avoiding the iPod whitewash in which Apple thrashed everyone, even Sony. It would also have some advantages. Google’s services, for one. Apple still doesn’t get the cloud, and getting data on and off the iPad is still largely done over a USB cable. Android is also the only other real player in apps with the Android Marketplace. It is way behind the iTunes App Store in numbers, but is at least in second place.

Also watch out for the HP Slate which had more connectors, more ports, and more options than the iPad. The Slate will run Windows 7 with a custom user interface. Click here for the spec comparison.

TeamViewer Portable 5.0.7904 has been released. TeamViewer is a remote PC support/control and screen-sharing tool. You can remote control a partner’s desktop to give online assistance, or you can show your screen to a customer without worrying about firewalls, IP addresses and NAT. This release updates TeamViewer to the latest version and adds multilingual support. It’s packaged as a portable app so you can work on the go and it’s in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. It’s released as freeware for personal, education and non-profit use (business use requires a license).

I have listed some features below.

- Support, administration and screen-sharing in one package
- Remote administration of unattended servers
- File transfer
- Key exchange and AES (256 Bit) session encoding
- Remote support without installation
- Remote presentation of products, solutions and services
- Works behind firewalls

So if you want to help your parents out with an issue, this is the application to try.

One of my favorite data copy and recovery software applications has recently been updated. One of the best things about it is that you can copy all files from any location to any specified location, if it his a corrupt or unreadable file, it just skips it, logs it, and goes on until it has no more files to copy. This is a very easy to use program so please don’t pass it by.

Here is an insert from his page, “Recovers files from disks with physical damage. Allows you to copy files from disks with problems such as bad sectors, scratches or that just give errors when reading data. The program will attempt to recover every readable piece of a file and put the pieces together. Using this method most types of files can be made usable even if some parts of the file were not recoverable in the end. The program can be used as a daily backup system using its batch mode functions. A list of transfers can be saved to a file and then run from the command line to perform the same batch of transfers on a regular basis without having to use the GUI interface. The program supports command line parameters which allow the application to be run from schedulers or scripts so it can be fully integrated into daily server tasks.”

You can download installable files, or standalone which can be used from a USB key.
