Well without reading anything in the press, nor have I even read what is below, I will say this, like Bill Gates, Steve steps down, he may not be actively running the company, but I am sure he will have plenty of input. I do not like Apple, I was forced to use an iPhone 4 for almost a year, thank god I got a BlackBerry Bold 9900( I can breath again!), but Steve, you did an amazing job. Sure you gave up on your own hardware and had to use Intel Processors etc. but your design was what people wanted, no not me, but other people… having said the above… let’s read the insert I pasted from Apples sight! :)

“Steve’s extraordinary vision and leadership saved Apple and guided it to its position as the world’s most innovative and valuable technology company,” said Art Levinson, Chairman of Genentech, on behalf of Apple’s Board. “Steve has made countless contributions to Apple’s success, and he has attracted and inspired Apple’s immensely creative employees and world class executive team. In his new role as Chairman of the Board, Steve will continue to serve Apple with his unique insights, creativity and inspiration.”

See? What did I say, just because he stepped down as CEO he will still be there to guide the company that he built. I mean when you are Steve Jobs, or Bill Gates, you never leave the company completely… Good Luck in your new position Steve…
