Apparently today is “Quit Facebook Day” Why you ask? They say it’s due to privacy concerns.
Facebook has upset users in recent months by not giving them enough control over their personal data. For example, Facebook’s changes in privacy settings in December allowed users to control who sees each individual piece of content they upload, whereas the previous policy had allowed users to create block settings, which proved easier to manage.
So far 26000 people have quit Facebook to never return, i personally think that allot of them will return, and out of 700 people, only 11% were aware of this day… and only 2% were going to quit.
Its all about paying attention to your settings, what did you think was going to happen when you posted all your pictures to the Web?! Ill probably end up reviewing my settings later this evening, but I’m pretty sure my stuff is okay for the time being…
