android, BlackBerry, google, Honeycomb, microsoft, Nokia, RIM, smartphone market leader, Symbian, Windows Phone 7
Here is a quick breakdown based on the Global Average as of March, I couldn’t find April numbers.
Interesting that a smartphone can come out of nowhere and quickly overtake the market… that’s the power of Google I guess!
Android is at 38%, a +29.4% change.
RIM(BlackBerry) is at 24.5%, a +7.5% change.
iOS(Apple) is at 23%, a -16.5% change.
Windows Phones are at 2%, a -4% change.
These are the only Smartphone companies I follow, to be noted though Symbian or Nokia fell 14.7% as well, I do not foresee them sticking around for much longer.
Its a toss up as to which phone I purchase next, if Android keeps pumping out new powerhouse smartphones, why would i go for an iPhone5? It just wouldn’t make sense.
