– on windows: if you use the sqlplus with cmd.exe (that is not sqlplusw.exe but sqlplus.exe) you get the functionality fine.
– on linux/unix you can use rlwrap with most command line utility to add line buffering.

On the wish list it should be done something about sqlplus on unix and linux regarding the history 1 line in the buffer this is not enough. I’m dreaming to get something modern like bash is for the shell which means more longer history and possibilities to keep the history like isqlplus

The second gripe/wish, how about a nice simple tool to “shrink” the System tablespace?
