<description>History never really does repeat it self though it does seem to rhyme. Linux strictly speaking is not an Operating System it is a Kernel, as we all know. I believe that the Kernel is unassailable. It is the add on eye candy and goodies that seem to go over the edge with media players and pocket database systems that don't make sense. Maybe this is where we depart from our base? Microsoft cannot assault the Kernel so they go after the items that give Linux some level of interoperability in the world of IT that MS created. the tune is the same I just believe that the scary refrain has changed. Their Greed and Power are threatened so they got themselves a new little FUD teaser.
