Any piece of technology this disruptive will take time to catch on and gain traction. The last piece that needs to be put in place, as stated by Novell's CEO Ron Hovsepian, is that an ISV ecosystem needs to be established. Once the LSB is updated enough for vendors and "joe schmoe software developer" to write apps for Linux and they seamlessly work on Linux - that's when the water will spill over the dam. “Aaaaaany minute now…” might just be now.
