The components of an EA can also be summarised as follows:
- Context (basic requirements, guidelines, constraints)
- Framework(s) that enable a multi-layered EA development in stages
- Actual components (processes, systems, rules)
- Inter-relationships (links, flows, data dictionaries, database indices)
- Models
- Architects
