I recently wrote a piece here on IT Knowledge Exchange talking about healthcare data breaches. I wonder what people think about healthcare as the next big target for hackers worldwide and if there's cause for concern. I think tech and finance have had their comeuppance and retail was next. But now is our healthcare system at risk?

    With the emphasis on digitizing health records and introducing new technology into the healthcare workflow (with many inexperienced workers to train) here's a lot of potential for security risks in the industry. The question in my mind is what is the benefit for hackers. With retail and finance, the payoff is obvious, but with health records it might take a little more work to make the effort worthwhile. But maybe I'm not thinking enough like a hacker...
