Your advice is being seriously considered. I upgraded (downgraded?) one brand new machine to Windows 8 and I have been kicking and screaming ever since. I am trying to convince myself it is the future and I must get with the program but more and more I am finding my productivity destroyed, my comfort discomforted, and my sense of my computer working with me is lost. I am now depending on my Windows 7 machines to get my work done and using the Windows 8 infrequently trying to get comfortable with it. Comfort is just not happening. I may stick with Windows 8 on only one machine just because I am stubborn but your advice to upgrade sounds mighty convincing.
