Tech heavyweights Amazon, Intel, Google, and Microsoft were among six companies that got “excellent” reputation quotients or  ”RQ” scores, according to the newly released 2009 Harris Interactive Poll.

Berkshire Hathaway was the most-respected company, according to the results.

Not surprisingly, financial companies, fared very poorly although disgraced insurance giant AIG actually moved up one slot from the bottom, ceding that ignoble spot to Freddie Mac. The latter’s 38.94 point total was the lowest score since Enron’s bottom-scraping 30.05 five years ago.

And, Goldman Sachs joined the Harris hall of shame for the first time. The former gold-standard investment bank is taking many hits for accepting Federal bailout money the while screaming it didn’t need to.

Ford Motor Co., on the other hand, vaulted up 11 slots this year.
