SCO ousts Darl McBride

The SCO Group has eliminated the CEO post from its leadership roster and that means Darl McBride is out. This, according to its latest SEC filing.

Here’s the verbiage:

“On October 14, 2009, The SCO Group, Inc. … announced that the Company has eliminated the Chief Executive Officer and President positions and consequently terminated Darl McBride.  The current management team comprised of  Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Hunsaker, Chief Financial Officer, Ken Nielsen and General Counsel, Ryan Tibbitts, along with the rest of the management team will continue to work closely with the Chapter 11 Trustee and his advisors. “

SCO under McBride became a pariah in the Linux world when it charged that IBM had illegally turned over Unix code to the Linux community.  More recently the company had sought bankruptcy protection. More on this story here.
