As Nexsan's partner in Switzerland we just can confirm your post. It's not markting. Assureon is a great product. It's the enabling kernel for our A/ B/ C Data Pooling architecture of next step efficient data management. Instead of holding separate Archive, Backup and Copy data pools (in order to be deduplicated) we pool them exclusively into one repository. Reducing 3 to 1 means to realize savings in digital data management of 2/3. Using more of the standard features of Assureon with A Better Concept ends up even in savings of 80% and more of cost, complexity, error potential ... E.g. we offload the SAN/NAS by the 80% of inactive data, eliminate file backup/restore, removing completely the unnecessary storage zoo. A/ B/ C Data Pooling provides by the way zero backup and restore windows without the propagated snapshot orgies to be managed centrally. POC took place in 3000 user environment, 100 remote servers.
