Anecdotal evidence is that Microsoft ERP sales are in the tank this year, although it’s hard to tell how much of that is Microsoft-specific vs. the overall ERP category sucking wind of late.
in this economy, very few people are swapping out one ERP or accounting system for another. They are probably very hard pressed to justify an upgrade given the overall business climate.
Another Microsoft ERP-specific question is who’s gonna replace Mogens Elsberg as head of ERP product marketing and management. Microsoft has acknowledged that he is leaving that role, but it’s unclear if he’s leaving the ship altogether.
