Oracle for president?

“I would like us to be the successor to IBM. Not Gerstner’s IBM. Not Palmisano’s IBM. But when IBM was the dominant software company in the world and translated that to being the dominant systems company.” –Larry Ellison.
My inclination is that Larry’s words are purposely showing excessive confidence—in the midst of what is not just a daunting task, but a long-term and maybe impossible one. Don’t you think that if you are ever to have a chance to unseat IBM, you might want to work on considering some of your larger brothers in the marketplace (i.e. HP)? With HP and IBM regularly battling (and lead-changing) for UNIX market share, what are the chances IBM and HP won’t just completely ruin Sun’s (read Oracle’s) chances at ever making money again?
