Interesting report, I am surprised at the rank Canada reach. More, where the heck is China??
Well I guess there is no honor among thieves or something like that. There is now a version out on the lose and you can find it if you try.
I hope I can get into the code soon, I have been waiting for this for a while.
I was not able to play for too long but I was able to get through the first 5 levels of the realistic, a couple application and 4 levels of the extbasic.
Lots of fun, the application missions are good. The realistic ones are starting to get a little more tough, I just wish there was a dns name for them instead of the sub dir on the main site.
387 points in my first 2 hours of play!
Fun hacking game site, I have done a few of these before and this one is pretty good. Not as much fun as going at a full real box, but fun still.
I have been working my way through the missions for a while, I am finding some things pretty simple and others are a little too picky. At least thats what I think anyway.
He always has something good to say.
There is not much information listed but it’s starting to appear like a concentrated cyber effort against Iran. This time it’s a espionage incident. If I was in that situation, after finding two I would be looking for more. One is bad, two is really bad.
I am sure they are putting a lot effort into checking for more, I will be following this closely as before.
There is no indication of it’s origin at this point, but it could be safe to assume that this would be close to the same caliber as STUXNET.
It’s been named STARS, wonder if that is saying something?
The pain just does not end for Sony. After almost a week on PSN outage, they released today that creditcard and user information has been taken.
You have to feel for the people working to get this back on line, and they are still expecting several more days. From the sound of the press releases it appears that they have finished the containment and eradication. I hope they are at the point of rebuilding the system and are in the process of testing and re-securing the new infrastructure.
I would think that there is a substantial amount of systems to touch. Although unsure of the architecture, that number could be in the hundreds.
I have been asked before and will be asked again I am sure, if someone should encrypt the wireless network. There is no guarantee that it will happen to you, but having something like this happen would suck. Even if it was you, that could create some large personal and professional issues. I know of people that do it by choice to “stick it to the man”, but at the end of the day you may be the man getting the sticking.
Canada is fast approaching an election, being across so many time zones can create issues. The main one that has come up before is that media organizations are not allowed to report results in a local until the polls have closed.
Social media users got a reminder about this. I can understand the need for such a provision, I think it’s implementation is technologically impossible. Other then having hired goons coming to your door to break thumbs after the fact, if someone really wanted it to get out there is no stopping it.
Well I understand the need for the provision, I don’t need to agree with it. If the on going results are going to influence someones vote, then so could a big sign on the way to the polling station.
Some days I want to get an iPhone, others I do not.
I have to admit my smart phone is something I spend little time poking at, I guess it never really interested me. This kind of information could be pretty valuable for a lot of people, just wait until you get your phone taken from you with a warrant to pull this info. I wonder if it was a mistake, something someone left on by accident or purposeful and if anyone else is doing it.
