This Week in Tech History

On July 23, 1962, communication satellite Telstar 1– created by NASA, AT&T, Bell Labs, and the French and British post offices — relayed the first trans-Atlantic television signal in history.

The first broadcast: a game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Cubs. Extra points to anyone who remembers who won that day.
